Brick is a material obtained from clay, which takes a regular basis (the most common are rectangular) and then, it is fired at high temperatures (approximately, between 900° C and 1000°C, 1652° F and 1832° F, respectively) into special kilns called tunnel kilns. The features of bricks are:
They are easy to manufacture (either by molds or using geometric processes), fire and transport with one hand, because they are lightweight.
They are used in masonry, mainly in the lining of facades and walls.
Also, clay fired is used for the fabrication of blocks, which haves lots and are used in construction of walls.
Standard size for bricks is, approximately, 25 cm by 12 cm by 5 cm thick.
